SEO + AEO · 6 MIN READ

SEO and AEO: make your product genuinely useful to discover.

Start with clear answers, original evidence, and sound search fundamentals.

Begin with a real question

Choose questions that your intended users ask while trying to complete a job. Write a direct answer, then add an example, method, or reusable tool. The page should help even when someone does not buy your product. Thin articles that repeat generic advice create little reason to return or reference your work.

Keep the technical basics sound

Use descriptive titles, sensible headings, readable links, and accessible page content. Make important pages discoverable through navigation and internal links. Check that indexing rules and site access match your intent. Structured data should accurately describe visible content; it cannot compensate for weak or misleading information.

Understand the scope of AEO

Answer engine optimization describes efforts to improve visibility in AI-driven answers. Google says foundational SEO practices remain relevant for its AI search features and that no special optimization is required for inclusion. Other systems may behave differently. Treat universal ranking recipes and guaranteed citations with skepticism.

Publish what only you can explain well

A documented experiment, a detailed comparison based on firsthand use, or an annotated example can be more useful than another broad definition. Make authorship and sources clear. Update content when its underlying facts change, and distinguish what you observed from what you infer.

Measure qualified discovery

Track relevant visits and what those visitors do next. Look at useful actions, assisted conversions, and product use rather than treating mentions alone as success. The purpose of discovery is to connect the right people with a helpful result. Review the official search guidance as tools and reporting change.
