Choose your smallest useful product
Give version one a clear promise and a firm boundary.
The idea
Your first release needs to complete one valuable job reliably. Define the beginning and end of that job before choosing a stack or writing a backlog. A small complete experience is easier to test than a large unfinished one.
Put it into practice
Write the audience, problem, promised outcome, core flow, exclusions, and success signal on one page. Mark every requested feature as essential to the outcome or later.
For the feedback tool, version one accepts pasted notes, lets the designer review the summary, and exports an agreed revision list. Billing automation and team permissions can wait unless the pilot requires them.
Use AI thoughtfully
Ask AI to propose acceptance criteria and surface edge cases. Review the output with the real user journey in front of you; generated requirements are suggestions.
Your checkpoint
Can a user complete the core job without any feature in your “later” list?
Write your answer to the checkpoint. Notes stay in this browser.
